I have always liked looking out for these barn quilts while out for a drive or caching along the back roads, it kind of makes the drive a little more pleasant in
HURON COUNTY.
The designed of this barn quilt is to represent - The heart of the tree has a “friendship star” which represents the friends. The blue and gold colours are the Huron County Library colours. The red and gold autumn colours for the 2017 IPM for the Huron County Barn Quilt Trail.
IPM 2017 is where the barn quilt craze mainly started in Huron County as a contest.
Barn quilts originally started there roots in Ohio.
Barn quilts tell stories.
The proper size for a barn quilt is 8'x8'.
They draw motorists to our rural highways, roads that have many stories to tell.
Barn Quilts are rural graffiti – civic art about sacred places, battlefields, and historic locations.
