Space Lion is a song composed by Yoko Kanno and performed by the Seatbelts for the 1998 Japanese anime television series, Cowboy Bebop. Yoko Kanno wrote the music for Cowboy Bebop before the storylines for the series were finalized and it was only after production that she learned how the music was used.

Cowboy Bebop was a critical and commercial success both in Japanese and international market. The series won several major anime and science fiction awards and received universal acclaim for its style, characters, story, voice acting, animation, and soundtrack. If you are into anime, Cowboy Bebop is certainly worth checking out.
