Wangal Reserve occupies the end of the narrow finger of land that is Mortlake Point, a small oasis of green tranquility amongst the ever increasing urban development of Mortlake and Breakfast Point. It offers superb views across the Parramatta River to the Dame Eadith Walker Estate on one side, and to Putney on the other, and it's a great place to take a picnic dinner and watch the sunset over the water. According to the plaque on the Northern end of the point, this was the site of the Green point Naval Dockyard during World War II where Fairmile patrol boats were constructed. There can be a high level of muggle activity on weekends, so stealth is required. The heavily camo'd container is accessible from ground level- there's no need to get your feet wet. Please replace as found so it isn't obvious to passers-by.
