Cache Description
This is a 3 stage mystery cache. You must visit each stage posted in the additional waypoint section below. At each stage you will gather a part of the 4 digit combination that unlocks the ammo can that is placed at the posted coordinates (inside the office).
Stage 1. Stage 1. Go to the visitor center and explore the museum. You will find a map of Sunbury, Ga. Write the names of the three squares. Eg: ______ Square, ______ Square, ______ Square. Count the total number of letters in the underlined words. This number = 'AA'.
Stage 2. On the beautiful grounds of Fort Morris, you will find a monument that commemorates Georgia's first Masonic meeting. Find the monument committee members list on the monument. Write the name of the member whose last name begins with the letter 'V', then count the number of letters in his last name. This number = 'BB'.
Stage 3. At the blacksmith shop, how many vertical beams hold up the shop? This number = 'CC'.
To get the code to unlock the lock on the geocache, you must solve the formulas:
1. AA + CC = X
2. X divided by 2 = Z
3. Z + BB = F
4. F + *the year of Sunbury’s town charter = The 4 digit code. Hint: Read the map given to you at the visitor's center.
