Cache Description
This is a 4 stage mystery cache. You must visit each stage posted in the additional waypoint section below. At each stage you will gather a part of the 4 digit combination that unlocks the ammo can that is placed at the posted coordinates (inside the office).
Stage 1. Located inside the Visitor's Center. Watch the movie. Notice the regiment flags that are on display on the wall to the left of the TV. These regiments actually fought here during the battle. Count the number of flags. This number = 'A'.
Stage 2. After the movie, check out the museum displays in the next room. Look for a painted mural on wood. It shows a scene with a cannon and soldiers standing around it. Count the number of soldiers. This Number = 'B'.
Stage 3. Head outside the Visitor's Center back door and proceed to the “Ravine overlook”. Follow the White trail. Stand at Key’s Battery and gaze out into the Ravine. Looking at the interpretive signage, how many cannons were stationed here during the battle? This number = 'C'.
Stage 4. Proceed down the old pioneer road that leads to our 1850’s cabin. The cabin is not the original Pickett’s Family Cabin, but it is similar in age and style. The front of the cabin faces the road. Count the number of posts on the back porch. This number = 'D'.
The code to unlock the lock on the Geocache is 'ABCD'.
