Belle Isle Cachers: Our good friend and partner as the Belle Isle cachers Brummelbear got to look down and over all the cachers that came out for these memorial caches to him for 3 years, the longest any of our caches stayed active. A get honor to a great guy, we sure miss you, Leo!!

Geocache Description:


CB is the short for Celebrate Brummelbear (4-7-1944 – 3-17-2018). Leo’s vision of events in Detroit and on Belle Isle live on in his memory.


Brummelbear’s B&R – Welcome to Belle Isle was placed for the 2008 Belle Isle “monument tour” event. This was one of a couple multi caches Leo had on the island and he used B&R as bump and run. The final has had to be moved and the container that grew in size by 2. The name is just what Leo would tell you today as well!


As all of those that attended the event days that started at Big Boy across the bridge Leo were always open arms and loved visiting all of the cachers. More important was welcoming all he could attract to this island gem we all love so much, his sprit will live on this island forever.
