Belle Isle Cachers: Our good friend and partner as the Belle Isle cachers Brummelbear got to look down and over all the cachers that came out for these memorial caches to him for 3 years, the longest any of our caches stayed active. A get honor to a great guy, we sure miss you, Leo!!

Geocache Description:


CB is the short for Celebrate Brummelbear (4-7-1944 – 3-17-2018). Leo’s vision of events in Detroit and on Belle Isle live on in his memory.


Brummelbear’s BIMT – Casino was placed for the 2008 Belle Isle “monument tour” event. The casino like many buildings around Detroit was designed by Albert Kahn one of those Detroiters that Leo always admired. The cords have been tightening up a bit and the final moved but the field puzzle is the same type.


Leo loved meeting and talking with other cachers as seen in the picture at an event in Canada. Leo attended 227 events and hosted 15 over his caching career. Then there was the ones he put on with the Belle Isle cache which he was the founding member.
