Belle Isle Cachers: Our good friend and partner as the Belle Isle cachers Brummelbear got to look down and over all the cachers that came out for these memorial caches to him for 3 years, the longest any of our caches stayed active. A get honor to a great guy, we sure miss you, Leo!!

Geocache Description:


CB is the short for Celebrate Brummelbear (4-7-1944 – 3-17-2018). Leo’s vision of events in Detroit and on Belle Isle live on in his memory.


Brummelbear’s BIMT – Grand Army of the Republic was placed for the 2008 Belle Isle “monument tour” event. A little noticed monument but important none the less. The field puzzle is much the same as you would have seen from Leo 11 years ago but hidden a bit different but one Leo would have liked.


Leo loved his Goldens and he had several over the years. This is Jessie out doing what looks like a virtual cache which was on Leo’s favorite type of cache since he had started caching. Leo found 506 of these caches since February 2004.
