Belle Isle Cachers: Our good friend and partner as the Belle Isle cachers Brummelbear got to look down and over all the cachers that came out for these memorial caches to him for 3 years, the longest any of our caches stayed active. A get honor to a great guy, we sure miss you, Leo!!

Geocache Description:


CB is the short for Celebrate Brummelbear (4-7-1944 – 3-17-2018). Leo’s vision of events in Detroit and on Belle Isle live on in his memory.


Brummelbear’s BIMT – Peace Between Neighbors was placed for the 2008 Belle Isle “monument tour” event. As you can see, this was one of Leo’s favorite structures on the island as there are 3 caches this year relating to the Peace Carillion, be sure not to mix them up. The field puzzle is the same type as Leo had 11 years ago, though the final location had to be changed.
