Belle Isle Cachers: Our good friend and partner as the Belle Isle cachers Brummelbear got to look down and over all the cachers that came out for these memorial caches to him for 3 years, the longest any of our caches stayed active. A get honor to a great guy, we sure miss you, Leo!!

Geocache Description:


CB is the short for Celebrate Brummelbear (4-7-1944 – 3-17-2018). Leo’s vision of events in Detroit and on Belle Isle live on in his memory.


Brummelbear’s BI – Diamond in the Rough was placed for the 2009 Belle Isle event. This cache is in the exact type and way that Leo had 10 years ago with the exception of tightening up the cords.


Leo loved watching and keeping up with his sports teams and always rooted on the Tigers and Wings. In his travels with his family he often had to stop at the out of town stadiums. This picture is when he and his wife were out east and taken at Boston’s Fenway Park.
