This is a bit of a rugged road but very picturesque, especially in this valley where Taumatamaire Road crosses the Rauroa stream.
There’s majestic rock outcrops, overhanging the luxuriant flats of this gently flowing mellifluous waterway. Across the landscape are dotted random limestone rocks that have weathered over millennia.
This cache is located at one of those rocks, resembling a stack of pancakes beside the road.
