Belle Isle Cachers: Our good friend and partner as the Belle Isle cachers Brummelbear got to look down and over all the cachers that came out for these memorial caches to him for 3 years, the longest any of our caches stayed active. A get honor to a great guy, we sure miss you, Leo!!

Geocache Description:


CB is the short for Celebrate Brummelbear (4-7-1944 – 3-17-2018). Leo’s vision of events in Detroit and on Belle Isle live on in his memory.


The very first cache Brummelbear placed was a multi cache called Celebrate Detroit: Historic Eastern Market on 2-13-2005, 13 Celebrate Detroit caches were placed by Brummelbear. This series was conceived by Annebeth (now U.S. Globetrotters) and Brummelbear to place highlight some of the interesting places somewhat forgotten in Detroit. In 2005 Detroit was a place to run and hide from which is very different then what Detroit is looked at like today, this is thanks to many like-minded as Leo which is a true love for the city through the bad and the good.
