Belle Isle Cachers: Our good friend and partner as the Belle Isle cachers Brummelbear got to look down and over all the cachers that came out for these memorial caches to him for 3 years, the longest any of our caches stayed active. A get honor to a great guy, we sure miss you, Leo!!

Geocache Description:


CB is the short for Celebrate Brummelbear (4-7-1944 – 3-17-2018). Leo’s vision of events in Detroit and on Belle Isle live on in his memory.


Brummelbear’s CBI - Slippery Situation was placed for the 2007 Belle Isle event. One of the first caches on Belle Isle back when geocaching first started was a virtual right here called Slippery Situation. This attraction started back in the late 60’s and was always a joy to see. Much to our surprise it was once again ice covered this year.
