Naše první založená keš, kterou chceme připomenout události 2. světové války. Jedná se o jednoduchou, skoro drive-in kešku.
Dne 19. dubna 1945 mířilo 605 bombardérů B- 17 od 8. letecké armády nad Sasko a severozápadní Čechy. Hlavním cílem všech těchto osádek byly železniční uzly, seřaďovací nádraží a překladiště. Z významnějších cílů kromě saské Pirny bylo bombardováno i Ústí nad Labem a Karlovy Vary. Stíhací doprovod bombardérům tvořilo přes 200 Mustangů.
První bombardéry se objevily nad Čechami již okolo poledne. Piloti proudových Messerschmittů 262 z Ruzyně a Plzně využili nepřítomnosti doprovodných Mustangů a několika z nich se podařilo zasáhnout přilétající Boeingy nad středními Čechami.
Ve 12.15 hod. byl osamělým Me 262 sestřelen v blízkosti Příbrami Boeing B- 17G od 849. perutě. Jeho výrobní číslo je uváděno buď jako 43-38 048. Těžce poškozený letoun vypadl ze sestavy své perutě a osádka 1/Lt Buforda E. Stovalla postupně vyskákala na padácích. První opustili letoun u Litně radiooperátor Frank Mateyka (původem Slovák) a boční střelec Dennis Richardson. Oba byli zranění, oba převezeni do nemocnice. Další letec rovněž nepřistál šťastně, byl nalezen v lese u Berouna, s poraněním obou nohou.
Zbytek osádky se již zachránil bez poranění a po určitou dobu se ukrývali v lesích okolo Berouna.
Opuštěný letoun havaroval severně od Sýkořic, okr. Rakovník. Podle svědectví pamětníků letoun směřoval na osadu Podřeže, přeletěl jí asi v 50- metrové výšce a v levé zatáčce dopadl na pole. Spadl do protisvahu, do něhož se zaryl a utrhl levý krajní motor, levý vnitřní přišel o vrtuli a celý letoun již hořel.

Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress byl americký čtyřmotorový dálkový bombardovací letoun, který byl používán za druhé světové války. Byl znám pod pojmenováním Létající pevnost.
Stroj B-17G 43-38048, předán americkému letectvu dne 20.6.1944 dne 26.7. 1944 zapsán k 849th Bomber Squadron, 490th Bomber Group, 8. letecké armády USAAF v Anglii, sídlem v Eye, hrabství Suffolk.
Dle vzpomínek p.Kaftana - pamětníka z Roztok byly trosky letadla několik dní hlídány protektorátní policií.Se skončením války nastalo rozebírání vraku.Trup letadla následně ležel dlouhou dobu u plotu žel. stanice ve Zbečně.
V květnu 2010 byly poblíž místa dopadu letounu nalezeny drobné zbytky konstrukce. Za zmínku stojí hlavně část zaměřovače K-3 z horní střelecké věže se štítkem. Na místě bylo rovněž nalezeno množství pertinaxu, gumových hadic, plexiskla atd…
Zdá se, že na toto místo bylo odvezeno určité množství trosek, postupně z něj ale byly vybírány cenné kovy, až do dnešního stavu.

On 19 April 1945, 605 B-17 bombers from the 8th Air Force headed over Saxony and Northwest Bohemia. The main purpose of all these planes were the railway hubs, the marshalling yards and the transhipment. Besides more important targets in Pirna in Saxony, also Ústí nad Labem and Karlovy Vary in Czechia were bombarded. Fighter escorts to bombers consisted of over 200 P-51 Mustangs.
The first bombers appeared over the Czechia around noon. Pilots of the German jets Messerschmitt 262 from Ruzyne and Pilsen used the absence of accompanying Mustangs, and several of them managed to hit the approaching American bombers over Central Bohemia.
At 12.15, solitary Me 262 shot down the Boeing B-17G from the 849th Squadron near Příbram. Its serial number is listed as 43-38048. Heavily damaged airplane dropped out of its squad and crew 1 / Lt Buford E. Stovalla left the plane on parachutes. The first one was radio operator Frank Mateyk (originally Slovak) and side shooter Dennis Richardson near Liteň. Both were injured, both transported to the hospital. Another flyer did not arrive happily neither, was found in the forest near Beroun, with both legs injured.
The rest of the crew were saved without injury, and for some time they were hiding in the woods around Beroun.
The abandoned plane crashed north of Sýkořice, county of Rakovník. According to the testimony of the witnesses, the airplane was headed to the Podřeže settlement, crossed it over at a height of 50 meters, and fell to the field in the left bend. She fell into the field, where the side left engine ripped off, the left inner lost the propeller, and the airplane was already burning.

The Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress was an American four-engine long-range bomber aircraft that was used in World War II.
The airplane B-17G 43-38048, was handed over to the US Army Air Force on June 20, 1944 and on July 26th 1944 enrolled to the 849th Bomber Squadron, the 490th Bomber Group, the 8th USAAF in England, based in Eye, County of Suffolk.
According to the memories of Mr. Kaftan - a witness from Roztoky, the wrecked aircraft was guarded for several days by the Protectorate Police. With the end of the war, the wreck was dismantled. The aircraft body then laid for a long time at the fence at train station in Zbečno.
In May 2010, small structural remains were found near the impact site of the airplane. It is worth mentioning the part of the K-3 sight from the upper shooting tower with the label. A number of pertinax, rubber hoses, plexiglass, etc. were also found on site ...
It seems that a certain amount of debris has been taken to this place, but the precious metals have been collected from it until now.
