MUSEO DELLA RADIO “GUGLIELMO MARCONI”
Nell’aula magna dell’istituto tecnico Ferraris è custodito il Museo della Radio “Guglielmo Marconi” frutto di una curiosa ed interessantissima collezione privata (alimentata anche da donazioni e prestiti provenienti da tutta Italia) che vi condurrà attraverso la storia della radio ad iniziare dall’antenna direzionale usata da Guglielmo Marconi per i suoi esperimenti. Potrete vedere il primo ricevitore francese degli anni 20, una sezione dedicata ai transistor, alle valvole, ai primi ricevitori italiani, alla ricostruzione di postazioni militari e mille altre curiosità del mondo della radio.
Il museo è in attesa di una sistemazione che ne consenta la visita attualmente limitata agli orari di apertura della scuola e sembra che il Comune concederà gli spazi di Porta Nuova, ove è attualmente anche depositata l’antenna di Marconi in seguito all’esposizione avvenuta nei locali della porta nell’estate 2018. Il museo, ad ingresso, gratuito si può visitare dal lunedì al sabato dalle ore 8.00 alle ore 12.00 e la domenica dalle 10.00 alle 12.00 (la domenica non è sempre aperto). Aggiornamento del 2 1 2020: il Museo si trasferirà a Porta Vescovo; nel frattempo è visitabile solamente da scolaresche ed associazioni.

Questa cache dovrebbe essere una tradi ma a causa della nota distanza di 161 metri da altri nascondigli deve diventare una multi. Al punto di partenza troverete il museo. . Per trovare la cache non bisogna entrare nel museo ma se passate durante l’orario di apertura non perdete l’occasione di una visita !

In the main hall of the Ferraris technical institute is located the Radio Museum "Guglielmo Marconi", the result of a curious and very interesting private collection (also fueled by donations and loans from all over Italy) that will lead you through the history of the radio starting from directional antenna used by Guglielmo Marconi for his experiments. You will see the first French receiver of the 20s, a section dedicated to transistors, valves, the first Italian receivers, the reconstruction of military posts and a thousand other curiosities of the radio world.
The museum is waiting for an arrangement that allows the visit currently limited to the school opening hours and it seems that the City will grant the Porta Nuova spaces, where the Marconi antenna is currently also deposited following the exposure in the door rooms in summer 2018. The museum, free of charge, can be visited from Monday to Saturday from 8.00 to 12.00 and on Sunday from 10.00 to 12.00 (Sunday is not always open). For information +39 389 0246638.
2 1 2020 update: the Museum will move to Porta Vescovo; in the meantime, it can only be visited by schools and associations.

This cache should be a tradi but due to the known distance of 161 meters from other hiding places, it must be a multi. At the starting point you will find the museum. To find the cache you do not have to enter the museum but if you pass during the opening hours do not miss the opportunity of a visit!
