Lydiard Park is a beautiful historic estate on the western edge of Swindon, with the Palladian House, Church and Walled Garden, set in 260 acres of parkland. The children's play area, Cafe & Tea Rooms, events and education programmes make Lydiard Park a great destination for a family day out.

Dogs are allowed in the grounds and the park is a lovely destination for a walk, run or bike ride.

Access to the grounds of Lydiard Park is free. However, car parking charges apply. Please ensure that you bring the exact fee, as no change is given.

Lydiard Park’s postcode for Sat Nav directions is SN5 3PA. The park has two main entrances, Hay Lane and Hook Street. Hay ane is situated near Lydiard House and St Marys Church.  Hook Street is situated near Forest Cafe

Swindon Rail Station and then a bus (Number 1 or 1a) - ask for Lydiard Park).

If you live in Swindon the chances are you probably played Beat the Street or if not you’ve heard of it.

A fun, free game that helped you to get more active and explore parts of Swindon you hadn’t been to before!

As a town Swindon either walked, ran or cycled 313350 miles in just 6 weeks!

Now that the game is over, we thought that you needed a new challenge. 

We have hidden 5 Geocaches in different locations in Swindon for you to find.

Each of the Geocaches has a ‘Find it First’ prize if you’re the first to find this please take it with you and let us know which one you’ve found and we will send you one of our Beattie Hedgehogs!

There is also a few ‘Swag’ items in each box for the runners up to keep.
