This cache is part of a series of caches which are placed at or near village halls and community centres.

The Hilldene Centre is the oldest of several community centres in the village of West End. It was originally built by Haines Bros builders in September 1903 as St James School and enlarged in 1914. It later became the Hilldene Infants School in 1975. Artefacts from the school including desks and the stone sink are on display at West End Museum and Heritage Centre.

This cache is NOT at the listed coordinates. You'll find it hidden near a more modern community centre at a distance of 0.31km on a bearing of 52.8 degrees. The path can get a bit muddy but there's no reason to get scratched or stung at GZ. Please be stealthy and, as this is a letterbox hybrid cache, the stamp inside is part of the cache and is not for taking away (sorry!)



(FYI, the long version of the bearing is a distance of 0.306507 km on a bearing of 52.79602790488980.)
