To mark my 250th find I decided to hide a cache at an old “haunt” of mine.Many years ago we would come up here to play when there was still a roof on this abandoned farm.We always thought it was very spooky and a few brave souls even stayed the night.
There are a few ways to reach this cache,but I always walk up from Lumphanan.If you park near the shop and pub follow the directions to another cache”Lumphanans lost line” and then onto “All in all its jist anither stane ahin the dyke” and finally on to “Taking the strain”.Waypoint 1 is just a few metres from here.Alternatively if you head for”Luckiest seat in the world” you can follow the old military road up to waypoint 3.
There can occasionally be sheep in the field around the abandoned farm and there are a few gates to climb to get access to GZ and watch your footing as well.
