“Pond” might not be the most accurate term when describing the setting for this annual outdoor hockey tournament in St. Ignace. The games, after all, are played on a frozen coastal stretch of Lake Huron. But when you have more than 200 teams battling it out across 75 rinks for one of the most coveted prizes in amateur hockey, you’ll need the extra real estate afforded by a Great Lake.
