Shi Pai Park （石牌公園）is an old park in Tanzi（潭子）. The park provids local residents a nice and peaceful place to relax and exercise. When I was a kid, I often went to the park with my siblings. We had nice memories there. However, after all these years there are less local residents visiting the park. Though young people don’t really go there, still some old folks go to the park enjoying the peaceful time sitting on four seat swing chair. Nowadays, you can hardly find four seat swing chairs in a park.
There are three valuable bald cypress trees in the park. Bald cypress famously has these odd structures (cypress knees) that stick out above the water line. Bald cypress has upright trunk, tree shaped like a Christmas tree. Its leaves, like pinnate, branches out from two sides of the twigs in fine linear arrangement. Come and appreciate the beauty of the trees and the peace of the park.
