A short walk to a pleasant spot.
The cache is hidden to the north of the reservoir. There is a direct walk down a hill to the cache giving a view over the reservoir and beyond or you can approach from a car parking spot by the reservoir. There is a walk through the woods to the east of the reservoir on a lakeside path. The wood was owned by the Bishops of Durham in the 13th century and today is a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the 16th century coppiced oaks that exist here.
