In the centre of Cambridge you’ll find a delightful grassy area resembling an English village green – it’s called Victoria Square and is one of the town’s favourite meeting spots.
Every Saturday, between 8am and midday, the square becomes a hive of activity as the Farmer’s Market attracts those out to buy fresh produce from local growers.
In the summer, Victoria Square is the venue for matches played by members of the Cambridge Cricket Club, and when it’s not being used for sport, it’s a great place to take young children or have a picnic in the shade of oak and elm trees around its border.
