The location of this cache is at the foot of a landslide caused by the flood of 2013. If you drive a little farther south along Hwy 7, you'll see that flood created a much larger landslide behind Wind River Ranch. Twin Sisters is a taller and steeper mountain than Lily, so it sports a more spectacular scar. As so much of the soil has been washed away by the rushing water, it will take a very long time for vegetation to recolonize the barren landscape. You can still see the scar from the 1982 Lawn Lake flood, at the base of which is one of RMNP's many earthcaches: Roaring River Alluvial Fan (GC230BK).
As you stand at the posted coordinates, look up at the scar. On the right-hand side, about 130 feet from where you're standing, is the cache. Look at the spoiler photo to find it. Due to the need to maintain a potentially messy stamp and inkpad in the cache, it's better not to use it to exchange swag. Please don't take any of the cache contents, as I will have to replace them.
