México es uno de los 10 principales productores mundiales de café. La producción se concentra en el sur central a las regiones del sur del país. El café es principalmente arábica, que crece particularmente bien en la región costera de Soconusco, Chiapas, cerca de la frontera con Guatemala.

México es la mayor fuente de importaciones de café de los Estados Unidos. Los granos notables incluyen Altura, Liquidambar MS y Pluma Coixtepec.

Café de olla es una bebida tradicional del café mexicano. Para preparar el café de olla, es esencial utilizar una olla de barro tradicional, ya que le da un sabor especial al café. Este tipo de café se consume principalmente en climas fríos y en zonas rurales.

En México, el café de olla se hace con café molido, canela y piloncillo (conocido como panela en otros países).

Café de olla (pot coffee) is a traditional Mexican coffee beverage. To prepare café de olla, it is essential to use a traditional earthen clay pot, as this gives a special flavor to the coffee. This type of coffee is principally consumed in cold climates and in rural areas.

In Mexico, café de olla is made with ground coffee, cinnamon, and piloncillo (known as panela in other countries).
