(To the tune of The Twelve Days of Christmas)
In the month before Christmas,
we elves went out to find
a centrally located,
child-and-sled-friendly,
gift-hanging-suitable,
muggle-resistant,
multi-branched…
evergreen…
tree!
Off the beaten track,
close to a trail,
under an hour.
And we found one,
finally!
Children are invited to choose a gift from the tree.
Please do not search for this cache before 4:00 p.m., December 24th. Please don’t add to Santa’s bounty.
Please note: This will be our final Santa’s Christmas Tree cache, as several of our merry band of elves are ready to hang up the reindeer reins, and retire. If someone out there wants to keep the tradition alive, please say so in your log, and perhaps you can put together a new Elf Brigade with other like-minded geocachers.
Thanks to lynnewill for having the original inspiration and rallying the elves for eight years. Thanks to CacheShadow, CacheMinder and CacheDrone for working patiently with us and accommodating our finicky posting requests.
And thanks to everyone who happily grabbed their wee ones and ventured out into sometimes challenging conditions, to help sprinkle a bit of Christmas Magic!
It’s been fun! Merry Christmas to all!
