The Rising Sun welcomes us for the 3rd time this year for our lunchtime event. Children are welcome to attend. Although this is the 13th event of the year, I felt like doing one last one, where it all started, 365 days ago. It’s been a fun year, but next year will be more of a challenge in a different way, helped by a few good friends (shows what a community Geocaching can be😁), just ask about 2022!
We intend to have a couple of tables together so we can have a few drinks and if anyone wants food, I’m sure they’ll be happy to cater for you (just order on the day).
At the start of 2017 I set myself a challenge, to double finds on 5 cache types: Multi, Mystery, Virtual, Letterbox and Event. Of all of these, Event was the hardest to do (as you can only ‘find’ them when they’re on) not helped by the fact that less than a dozen were within 20 miles of home. So this year, I’ve decided to set myself a challenge of hosting 1 event per month. Some of these will be local to home, some will be while I’m away (on holiday for example), my only limitation will be to not host any event in the same location as one used in either of the last 2 months.
