The eighth in an occasional series of morning get-togethers, which aim to be within a few miles of the River Erewash, the border between Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. All geocachers are welcome, for an hour of chat, the sharing of ideas, the exchange of trackables, and anything to do with our hobby.
This time we have a town centre location in Long Eaton, with the River Erewash only about half a mile away. With it being in town, it is much easier for those without transport to get to, as Long Eaton has excellent bus links to both Nottingham and Derby. The venue is the Twitchel Inn public house - it's on Hewitt Street, which is just off the High Street, the main pedestrianised street in the town. It's postcode is NG10 1ED. There are quite a few car parks in the vicinity (the largest is indicated as a waypoint), and you will have to walk to the pub itself. Council car parks are free for one hour (but you must display a ticket), and quite reasonable if you want to park for two hours. Drinks and hot food are available if required (though no purchase is necessary).
