Thanks to those who posted the photos. Thanks to The Neighbs for organising the farewell dinner at the RSL. More good times! And finally, thanks to The Hancock Clan for being good friends to all. We will miss you, but I'm sure there will be a number of visitors to the Apple Isle over the coming years. Farewell, for now!šŸ˜€

Geocache Description:

Farewell to The Hancock Clan

When: Friday 4th January, 2019

Venue: Cooper St Reserve, Engadine

Time: 5pm - 7pm

The Hancock Clan (THC) are leaving Sydney soon and moving to Hobart, Tasmania. THC have been geocachers since 2004, have over 9400 finds and over 100 hides - some of which were placed in the UK, where they originally migrated from in 2007.

This event is an opportunity for those who know them to say farewell and wish them all the best in their new adventures as they leave the Harbour City and head south to The Apple Isle. It would be fitting that their many geocaching friends get to send them off at a geocaching event. They have made many friends over the years, and we're sure they will make new ones in Tassie. And they will certainly put Tassie on the map with their hides!

All are welcome, even if you don't know The Hancock Clan. Chances are you may have found one of their many fantastic hides around the country. Hope you can make it!

The event is to be held on Friday 4th January 2019 atĀ Cooper St Reserve, Engadine from 1700 - 1900. Ample parking is available in the adjoining streets. The nearest train station is Engadine, about 600m away.Ā

We will attempt to have a group photo around 1800. There are picnic tables and BBQs at GZ, so bring along any food and drinks and stay for dinner if you can. There are toilet facilities nearby. And a bicycle track, a skatepark and a great children's playgound if you want to bring the geokiddies. Geodogs are allowed, but must be on leash at all times. And there are a few local caches nearby too!

So come along, join the mob and say cheerio/farewell.

Please post your "Will Attend" log.
