The second of two event caches encouraging people to come and visit Namadgi National Park! This site is the old Orroral Valley Tracking Station, starting point for many significant hikes in the area. It has been many years since an event was hosted out this way and I thought it would be a good opportunity to bring people to a part of the ACT seldom visited. Who knows, maybe you'll fall in love with it!
There are a number of caches in the area but please carefully read the listings before attempting them as many require significant hiking or bush bashing. The event site has a shelter that I am hoping will be available but, as it is the Australia Day long weekend, it may not be guaranteed. I will bring some food along with me but feel free to bring your own as well!
PLEASE NOTE: It is a bit of a drive to get to the event site. While all the roads are sealed, they are quite windy in some places. Please take care when driving to the site. Also, please make sure you bring adequate water and sun protection as it can be hot and lacking in shade. If the weather looks bad, I will post updates on this page.
