This is a puzzle cache with multiple physical stages that covers the red triangle-blazed 10 mile Stonetown Circular Trail. In a clockwise fashion. It is a challenging trail with some serious elevation changes. Co-aligned about half the time with the Highlands Trail. Many peaks to ascend and many great caches to find. Very nice views along the way.
The posted coordinates are for the center of a circle. None of the four stages of this multi cache is located at the posted coordinates, but they are ALL located exactly 1500 meters away from the posted coordinates. Each stage leading up to the final will contain only a bearing, in degrees. Use that bearing to figure out where on the circle to go next. To be sure, your field calculations should always use the posted coordinates above, not your current location, as a starting point.
The final is a 50 cal ammo can. The earlier stages are small snapware containers with the laminated bearing info. Please rehide everything well.
Bearing for part 1 is 80 degrees. (Check your solution)
Be careful accessing all parts, but really watch your footing at part 1. It is on the east side of Board Mountain. Once atop the mountain, recommended approach to part 1 is from the southwest, importantly not from the due west where it is very steep.
