2018 has come and gone and another year is upon us! What better way to start the New Year than with a gecocaching event? Let's ring in the New Year with some doughnuts!
Possible reasons to attend this event:
1) Celebrate 2019 with some great caching friends!
2) Help recover from that hangover by getting some sugar back into your system
3) Start the pregame Celebration for the Hawkeye Bowl Game! (Outback Bowl is at 11:00!!) Go Hawks!
4) Keep that event streak going with a January event!
5) Discuss your geocaching resolutions (goals) for 2019 with other cachers
6) Earn a virtual souvenir for your geocaching profile page
7) You will definitely earn a smiley for this event, so you won't be starting the year off with a DNF!

9) Listen to Weasel's breathtaking rendition of Auld Lang Syne. Seriously, the guy has a voice like an angel...it will bring tears to your eyes.
10) Fuel up with some doughnuts before heading out for a long day of caching!
update 12/21/18 - Event has been moved to a new location (Donutland) The original location is no longer going to be open on New Year's Day. The coordinates have been updated.
Whatever your reason for attending, I hope to see you there! Let's plan on meeting at Donutland (4307 Center Point Road NE in Cedar Rapids) at 9:00am. It'll be tight, but I think that we can make it work! (There just are not that many places to eat open early on New Years Day and I wanted to make sure that the event doesn't conflict with the Outback Bowl)
