Growing up, baseball was a big part of my life, both playing it and collecting baseball cards. Every week when I got my allowance, I would ride down to the store on my bike to buy as many baseball cards that I could (and chew that awful gum that came in the pack). For me, my baseball cards brought players to life as I created my own teams with them, read all their stats on the back of the card, and followed daily game results in the newspapers with the players on my cards. I basically used my baseball cards for my own Fantasy Baseball teams, long before fantasy sports were ever dreamed of.
