Residents of the 7th District of Logan Township erected an obelisk with a cannon on the top in 1944 to honor their war dead. The obelisk reflects the military conflicts of the 20th century, with plaques honoring veterans of World Wars I and II with adjacent plaques recognizing veterans of the Korean and Vietnam wars.
