Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land (GC81GTC): LETTER = the year the war memorial was erected – the year the USA got into WW II + 1
In 1982, the Blair-Bedford Central Labor Council restored a World War II memorial in front of the former Martz School. Vandals had damaged the memorial and stolen plaques containing the 23 names of Wehnwood residents killed in action. Unable to create a new list, the labor council installed a granite marker on the one side honoring those who died during the war. On the other side, the memorial recognizes the men and women of labor who gave their lives protecting the country.
