This is an easy log cache--container was originally used as a cookie tin, about 3" high and about 8" in diameter, painted brown, placed in a hollow log--the log has a shelf like section of wood in the center of the hollow log that i placed the container on,so if blowing snow enters the log it hopefully will be less likely to be frozen in as it would if it were on the bottom. It's placed about 2 feet inside the hollow log- to also help guard against snow and rain. It contains log, pencil in a zip lock plastic bag,a trackable snowflake and some various trade items. Parking is ample at the end of Bear Hole Road. From the parking lot, it shouldn't take more than 10 minutes to arrive at the cache, located about 80 to 100 feet off the old road/trail. This is one of my easiest to find,so ENJOY your hunt! It's kid and dog friendly--easy walk,no hills or climbing or bush wacking. Please return as found.
NOT WINTER FRIENDLY!
