I was in St. Mary's today so took the opportunity to place a few more caches in memory of my heart dog, Bandit. 12 caches in fact as it is Christmas time! And although he is always on my mind, and with me in spirit, I do particularly miss him at this time of year.
When we lived in St. Marys it was only a couple of blocks from here so when going downtown would often walk down Widder then up this lane to Queen as it was such a lovely lane with great views of the bridge, river and flats. I couldn't place this container exactly where I'd hoped as it was a bit too close to Bandit's "Troll" cache but if you wander a bit further west you will come to a spot that folks like to launch their canoes from which has an even better view of the bridge. I did let Bandit run "free" here sometimes to chase the squirrels and imagine he "flies" past here often in his current travels.
You can access this location from Queen Street but if you are hiking the Grand Trunk Trail you will need to go to the path out to Widder Street as it is private property from the bridge to this road.
Cache contains only a log sheet so BYOP. Enjoy the lane and the view!
Congrats to BWJM on the FTF!"
