New South Wales Christmas Bush (Ceratopetalum gummiferum) flowers in Spring, when it produces creamy-white flowers. Once the flowering is finished, the bracts remain on the tree developing their distinctive red colour from November and through the Christmas period, until February.
This small sheltered area, located along one of the many walking tracks within the Manly Dam Reserve, features many fine examples of New South Wales's most festive Christmas shrub.

Parking: Closest car parking & track access is at Martin Luther Place (S33° 45.708 E151° 14.747).
Public Transport: State Transit Bus 142 & E66 (peak hours only) and Forest Coach Bus 280 run along Allambie Road. Alight at Mortain Avenue Bus Stop and follow the track at the end of Martin Luther Place.
Nearby Facilities: Allambie Heights Shops (S33° 45.977 E151° 15.038) have numerous food outlets, IGA Supermarket, Newsagent with Post Office, Chemist, Westpac ATM and a BP Service Station.
The Cache: A Christmas themed cache with a Matryoshka twist, and a Santa hat to help you get into the festive spirit whilst signing the log. There's a Christmas "Festive Fun" Scratch Lottery ticket present for the First-To-Find.
