Geocache Description:

This letterbox is number 31 in the series, and if you have been following it from #1, you are getting close to I-95, where this road changes names.  St. Marys Road did not exist in its present form until the coming of the United States Navy.  Shortly after Jimmy Carter's election in November, 1976, the Navy announced it would be building a submarine base in Camden County, and took over an old Army ammunition holding area that was no longer being used for military purposes.  That base was greatly expanded, and helped cause the population of the county to grow from about 12,000 to more than 50,000 today.

Permission has been granted by the proper authorities for the placement of these caches.   Be careful and pull well off the pavement.

This one is a letterbox hybrid, with a stamp pad and stamp among the items contained inside.  Please do not remove these items, except to stamp your personal copy; but of course, sign the log.  It is paint-camouflaged and regular sized, and like most of the ones on the trail, near the outer edge of the right-of-way.  Pay attention to the attributes, and you will be better prepared to reach it.  BYOP.
