Geocache Description:

You have come across I-95 now and reached the 2-lane section of the Kings Bay Trail.  The road is now called Scrubby Bluff Road, which is the name that goes back more than a hundred years.  Scrubby Bluff is a place on the St. Marys River which before 1,500 A.D. likely was the first point on the Georgia side of the river coming west from Cumberland Island and the Atlantic Ocean where a boat could pull up to dry land.  Before that point the waterfront was all marsh except for the beach on the south end of Cumberland.  The establishment of a place called Buttermilk Bluff, later the City of St. Marys, got rid of that marsh for a short stretch, which is now the foot of that city's business district.

Permission has been granted by the proper authorities for the placement of these caches.  Be careful and pull well off the pavement.    BYOP.

Look for a small paint-camoed former pill container.
