IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD TO THIS SERIES, PLEASE CONTACT THE SERIES OWNER (SEE BELOW)
We are often told (correctly, if somewhat ideologically), that geocaches should take us to somewhere "interesting", and not simply be placed just for the sake of it.
The aim of this series is to try and adhere to this ideal by basing caches around details given on an Information Board about the area in which it is situated.
By definition, it is hoped that this information will be "interesting", and will help the cacher discover things about the area that would often not be revealed by a traditional cache.
Stand at the end of the bridge and look up at the building, there is a plaque on the building.
From this plaque take the date to be ABCD.
The number of lines excluding the title to be E.
The number of letter 'E's in the title to be F.
N 52° 22.(D-A)(E-F)C W 1° 50.(D-A)(B-A)C
****ALTERNATIVE CALCULATION ****
Recently the gate at the lakeside of the bridge has been locked making it hard for anyone other than a teenager or birdwatcher with binoculars to gather the information, so here is an alternative way of gathering the coordinates -
To the left of the Engine House there is a bench dedicated to Wilfrid with two dates - call these abcd-efgh
You can find the cache at N52 22. (c-a) (g-f) (a+c) W1 50.(e-a)h(a+e)
I hope that you find this an interesting variation on the caching experience.
