Every time I go past this street corner, there's just something about it that makes me think of geocaching. Maybe you can see what it is that reminds me of microvials hidden in pieces of stone or knot holes in a wooden post. Perhaps it will make you think of caches hidden in plain sight or any one of a number of cunning forms of camo. Perhaps you might like to share your favourite camo in a (non-spoiler) log of your find.
This cache is nice and simple and should prove to be a park and grab for most cachers. I'll even tell you that you are looking for a camoed micro. It wouldn't do justice to the cacher this has been placed in honour of, but I've done my best!
A little about the area here. This area is in the zone to be redeveloped to bring more housing to Auckland. The Mt Roskill Development, over the next 15 years is planned to bring 10,000 new homes to Auckland in a mixture of state housing, affordable housing and general housing stock. If you take a walk in the area, you will see the development underway.
Across the road and down a short way you will see the site of a major commercial property deal. The 14 hectares of Foodstuffs land here is expected to be redeveloped when they relocate. The 14 hectare site was sold for $93 million in September 2018.
