Ein Bankerl im Ruhestand

Hier findest du ein Bankerl, dass sich für den Ruhestand einen ruhigen Platz an der Slowenisch-Österreichischen Grenze ausgesucht hat. Es liegt direkt am Rundweg rund um das slowenische Dorf Kapla (Razgledna pot po Kapli) und ganz in der Nähe des Grenzpanoramaweges 560/503 zwischen Remschnigg Alm und St. Pongratzen. Der Cache liegt etwas abseits (siehe Hint wenn Probleme).

Das Bankerl hat sich einen wirklich schönen Ort ausgesucht. Setz dich ruhig hin und genieße die Stille und die Aussicht. Wenn du ganz ruhig bist, erzählt dir das Bankerl vielleicht etwas über die Aussicht die vor dir liegt. Denn es hat genug Zeit alles genau zu studieren. Es wird dir erklären, dass du unten im Tal drei Dörfer in der Nähe erkennen kannst. Sie alle haben eine große und markante Kirche in ihrer Mitte. Das Dorf zu deiner Linken mit der gelben Kirche ist Oberhaag. Wenn du genau hinsiehst, kannst du auch die Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Jubiläumsvolksschule erkennen, die 1908 gegründet wurde. Sie ist groß und hell verputzt. Für das mittlere der drei Dörfer musst du dich etwas nach rechts drehen. Es ist schon ein wenig weiter weg und an der Kirche die dicht am Berg steht zu erkennen. Es handelt sich um St. Johann im Saggautal. Für das dritte Dorf wird dir das kleine Bankerl vielleicht sagen, dass du aufstehen sollst und ganz weit nach rechts schauen sollst. Von diesem Dorf kann man nur die schwarze Spitze des Kirchturmes sehen, weil der Rest unter der Bergkuppe versteckt ist. Es handelt sich hierbei um Arnfels. Wenn du das Dorf genauer betrachten willst, kannst du auch auf die Schotterstraße in der Nähe gehen, von dort ist der Blick ausgezeichnet. Man kann dann auch das Schloss Arnfels auf dem Berg hinter dem Dorf erkennen.

An manchen Tagen -  wenn das Bankerl sehr gut gelaunt ist, zeigt es dir auch die Stadt Graz. Sie ist schon sehr weit weg, aber vor allem bei gutem Wetter leicht zu erkennen. Sie liegt im Norden, du musst also geradeaus schauen. Am Horizont erkennst du einen Berg der auf der rechten Seite steil abfällt. Das ist der Schöckel und zu seinen Füßen liegt die Stadt Graz - nennt man ihn deshalb den "Hausberg der Grazer"? Das kleine Bankerl ist sehr froh sich seinen Ruhestand in Slowenien ausgesucht zu haben. Viel zu oft beobachtet es die dreckige Dunstglocke über Graz und bemitleidet seinen Cousin, der im Grazer Stadtpark seinen Dienst leisten muss.

A bench in retirement

Here you can find a little bench that chose a very quite place at the slovenian-austrian border for its retirement. It is located at a circular walk around the slovenian village Kapla (Razgledna pot po Kapli) and is near to the Grenzpanoramaweg 560/503 between Remschnigg Alm and St. Pongratzen. The cache container is a little bit off (see Hint if problems occur).

The little bench chose a really beautiful place. Sit down and enjoy the silence and the view. If you are very quite the bench might tell you something about the view that is in front of you. The bench had enough time to study it. It will explain to you that there are three villages nearby in the valley. All of them have a big church in the middle. On the left side you can see the big yellow church of Oberhaag. If you look carefully you can see the old school of Oberhaag, it is long and bright and founded 1908. For the second village you have to look a little bit to the right. It is further away and easily found when looking for a church close to a mountain. It is called St. Johann im Saggautal. For the third village the little bench might tell you to stand up and lean far to the right. You can only see the black summit of the church. For a closer look of this village called Arnfels you should go to the gravelled road nearby. There you can not only see the church but also the whole village and its castle Schloss Arnfels.

On some days - if the bench is in a good mood - it might also show you the city of Graz. Graz is very far away but you can see it if the there is good weather. It is located in the north. On the horizon there is a big mountain, it plunges on the right. This is the Schöckel and in front of him there is Graz. Did you know they call him the backyard mountain of Graz? The little bench is very happy to have chosed this place for retirement. It often looks at the dirty pall of smooke above Graz and pities its cousin, who has to work in the city park of Graz.
