This is one of two Brexit themed Challenge caches designed to please both leavers and remainers!
The UK joined the European Communities on January 1st, 1973 and at the time of writing is likely to leave its successor, the European Union, on 29th March, 2019. In order to mark these two events and to remind us that what ever happens the UK will remain part of the European continent, I have placed this Challenge cache.
The cache is at the listed coordinates but in order to complete the Challenge, you must have done all of the following:
1. Found at least one cache in the UK in January or March of any year.
2. Found at least one cache in January or March of any year in one of the other 26 countries that make up the EU (excluding Ireland). They are Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece, Cyprus and Malta. Ireland is excluded because it will both remain and leave the EU in geocaching.com terms as the island of Ireland is regarded as one country by the website.
All old finds count and you can find this cache and mark it as a note until you have completed the Challenge if necessary. If you have found a cache that meets criterion (2) on March 29th or January 1st of any year, have a bonus point, although it's not a part of the Challenge. I've just checked and I found one in Italy on 29th March, 2011.
