It is All About the Birds Traditional Geocache

This geocache is placed in a lovely area outside the Saline District Library.



“Wild Bird Discovery,” a multi-piece sculpture located by the end of the detention pond between the library and Saline Middle School, depicts birds native to Southeast Michigan. It was designed by Kenneth Thompson, of Blissfield, and created by Thompson and his staff. The piece features three large stainless steel silhouettes - a Great Blue Heron, a Wild Turkey and a Red-tailed Hawk. In addition, an inviting semi-circle-shaped podium features 16 panels with stainless-steel cut-outs of native Michigan birds, each with a description.
