Number 53, like the rest of these, is not a virtual cache. In fact, Camden County is one of those counties that does not have a single virtual. This is a shame, since Camden is one of the original 8 counties in Georgia, created on February 5, 1877. It has a long and interesting history, and there are many places where a virtual could be located, such as burial tombs of those Acadians who came through St. Marys on the way to Louisiana, the Carnegie mansions or the burial place of Lighthorse Harry Lee on Cumberland Island. Or St. Marys, the southernmost port in the United States for many years, and the border with Spanish-held Florida for those same years. But, alas, it is not to be, for the time being, at least. Let me know if you are one of the fortunate ones who is allocated the right to add a virtual sometime in the future. There are some great possibilities in Camden County. Meantime, there is a nice wherigo cache at the sub base, and two or three adventure labs within the county. All placed by my favorite geocacher!
