this cache is off of the lavender trail. i would recommend approaching from the southern branch. there is a large set of flat rocks and a bench slightly uphill from the ground zero (within 20 feet); i think it would be a beautiful location for a picnic or meditation at the end of a romp around the south mountain reservation. it is a good place to bring kids.
the container is a medium-sized lock and lock; please rehide as found so that the container is not visible. initial contents: assorted state quarters, four postcards my mom brought back from sri lanka in 1980. there is a red dragon metallic christmas ornament for the FTF. a pencil has been provided.
some displacement of snow may be required in the winter.
