Geocache Description:

(EN) Konjice Castle is one of the oldest castles in Slovenia. The first owners of the castle were the Konjic gentlemen in the middle of the 12th century. At the beginning of the 14th century, the family began to lose its reputation and power more and more. Thus, in 1329, the Konjiška castle moved to the hands of the Viltuše, and the horses moved to the Jamnik nad Zrečami Castle. In the hands of the Viltus gentlemen, the castle remained until 1385 (temporarily also for some time under the célène), and then, due to the inheritance agreement, it became the property of the Devin. From 1406 - 1466 they were the owners of Walsee (only in the years 1413 - 1417 they had to leave Ernest Železny after the bloody battles). After the extinction of Walsee, the castle moved to the imperial hands, where it remained until 1576, when the owners became Khisli for a few years, and then the Habsburgs again. In 1597, the owners of the castle became Tattenbachi, who in about 100 years marked the history of the horse and castle. The collapse of the castle is linked to John Erasmus Tattenbach, who is known in European history as a conspiracy against Emperor Leopold l. After the Josephine reforms (1783), the castle moved under a religious fund, but at that time the city had lost its former meaning. When he became the owner of the
