It's time for our annual Cache-In-Trash-Out event in Tatum, Texas. It's mighty hard to believe, but this will be our 7th Annual Tatum CITO Event.
The City of Tatum appreciates all those that participated last year, and more than welcome all that want to attend this year. Our city loves y'all! (That might not get you out of a speeding ticket, but it'll get you a trash bag and a bottle of water!)
What? 7th Annual Tatum CITO Event
When? April 27 2019

What Time? 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
What to Bring? Gloves, & trash grabber
We will meet at the posted coordinates and begin our civic duty at 10:00 on that Saturday morning. We will take a group photo of all our trashy friends at 11:00. At that point, everyone can collect their door prizes while our homemade Pecan Pie is being served. Yep, pecan pie! (If anyone wants a different kind of pie, please post a note about what kind your bringing!)
After the pie, the real fun starts. The CoolKids(75691) will have a few new caches placed that are sure to be entertaining. We can caravan together to collect these caches and those that desire, can go caching on their own. If it works out right, we will all get to share the FTF on these new caches.
Last year, we had 52 people picking up trash. Let's see if we can get our attendance up to 60 this year. Please invite fellow cachers, muggles, aunts, uncles, young-uns, neighbors, and whoever else you can think of. Door prizes will be available to all those that log a "will attend" with a head-count of how many that will be in their party.
As usual, whoever is Found Traveling Farthest from their home coordinates will receive a special prize and get to claim the FTF accolades for the event. In the event of a tie, we'll make up some kind of tie-breaker.
This event is the kick-off event of what has become known as the Tatum Trifecta day. Two more events will be announced soon.
For the first time ever, the 7th Annual Tatum CITO Event will include a cache container competition. Entries will be received in five different categories.

2-Best City Setting Container
3-Best Rural Setting Container
4-Most Evil Container
5-Best Gadget Cache
Our very learned staff will judge the entries and the winners will be announced at the last event of the day. All entries will be required to be complete with a paper log and must be ready to deploy. Let's see what y'all come up with.
