I can't find any recent responses from ColoradoCachersClub about maintaining this cache which makes it appear they are either unwilling or unable to maintain this geocache. Small Town Colorado - Northern Plains

This is a "Name That Town" puzzle.
Cache is not at the posted coordinates.
In this puzzle, you will be going for an 8-letter code. The correct code
will give you the actual coordinates. From the coordinates listed below,
find the town. Record the first letter of each town name. That's it.
No need to drive to any on the listed town, unless you want to visit
that town. You will need to travel to the final coords for the finding/signing
but that comes later.


Town that were named after an individual will have the person's name
replaced with (townname) - Not to give away the name of the town

39.61588 -104.04296 - Nickname of "Home of the World's First Rodeo". Platted in
1875. Incorporated Feb 3, 1920. Total area of 1.07 sq mi. Elevation: 5,190 ft.
Population (2010) 546 - Town was founded when the Kansas Pacific Railway
built a station in what is now (townname) in 1870. The town was platted by the
railway in 1875 and soon became a shipping point for grain, livestock, and eggs.
By the late 1920s town grew into a town larger than it is today with two banks, five
grocery stores, and three hotels. The Great Depression of the 1930s took a major
toll on the town's economy, and a further blow took place in June 1965 when
a devastating flood destroyed or severely damaged the businesses along main
street. Many of these buildings were never rebuilt. Town hosted the first rodeo
exhibition on July 4, 1869.
In 2013, the town was considering an ordinance that would create drone hunting
licenses and offer bounties for unmanned aerial vehicles.

In about 1859 the town was developed as a cattle ranching community to supply
miners with provisions. The town was also used as a local stage coach stop.
There are two stories as to how the town obtained its name. One version says the
town was named by the Kansas Pacific Railroad builders after pioneer stage agent
(Overland company), (townname) Richards.
Another story says the town was named for Richard (townname) who was a local
settler. The town was founded in 1870. The town features a vintage swimming pool,
constructed as a Works Project Administration facility in the 1930s and is designated
as a historic site by the National Register of Historic Places.

The town was named for the sheep which grazed there.
Radio and television host Ralph Edwards was born in ths town.
Ralph Edwards Avenue was named in his memory.

A post office has been in operation since 1889 for the area. The community was
named after Johnathon C. (townname) , a railroad official.

The town was established in 1888 as a small settlement near the then-new Rock
Island Railroad. The area has had several names, and prior to the settlement of
the town, the location had been home to a general store and post office named
Bowser after the owner's dog, W.H. Lavington. When the town was founded, the
town was named Malowe after Rock Island Railroad attorney M. A. Lowe. The town
was later renamed after Henry (townname), railroad builder and oil man, at the
request of his daughter who liked the area.
