The Anderson Loop Trail (named after Thelma Anderson, a long time volunteer and contributor to Walking SA and walking trails throughout South Australia) is a shared use trail suitable for walking, mountain biking and horse riding.
We used the parking area on South Para Road (or Little Para Road according to the map from Walking SA) which is 2km north of the junction with North East Road.
After placing the cache, we took a very short walk up towards the large rainwater tank. The trail here turns to the east but standing there and taking in the silence, the hills lacking vegetation in almost every direction, the wind blowing on our backs, we felt like the only people left in a post-apocalyptic world – hence the name of the cache.
We didn’t have the courage to climb the ladder at GZ … if you do, perhaps you can tell us in your log.
